"Welcome designers and observers to project designer Cycle 6. It takes a keen eye and great taste to keep the rich and famous looking fabulous—which is why gifted designers can become just as paparazzi-worthy as their clientele. Now that I'm on the prowl for "the" new look, 14 hopefuls will get a shot showing off their fashion chops and "kick- starting" their career."

Challenge Reminder: It's been about a month and a half since your model has debuted on the cover of Vogue, and you've very quickly made a name for yourself. You've been designing looks for everyone almost as many times Karl Lagerfeld has called you "his muse" and even had a few coffee dates with Anna Wintour herself! She thinks of you and your model as the perfect pair, and you've just landed the trip of a lifetime: An all-expenses paid invitation to Paris Fashion Week! While the entire week will be a whirlwind of excitement, there will be one event in particular where your model must look beyond amazing. The editor-in-chief of French Vogue will be throwing you and your model a glittering A-list bash at her Paris mansion at the end of the week. Congratulations darling - your hard work has paid off and now all you have to do is look incredible. No pressure, right? ;D You must design a look for your model, and YOURSELF. The top 3 of this challenge will move on to fashion week!!!!!

Now this is really nice! I loved the simple shapes of both dresses, yet the elegance as well. The gown was very Doo.Ri with the subtle elegance, and cool color pallets. I loved the feather boa, especially because it was made out of crow feathers which was quite unexpected! For yourself, the look was surprisingly sophisticated, and I loved all of your color choices! The accessories, were fabulous, and your simple styling really brought a since of cohesion to the look. Brava!
First off, I have to applaud you for being creative, and not doing a gown! Both of your looks were very fashion forward, and the silhouettes, although very trendy, were completely innovative. I loved your sense of color with this challenge, as well as your accessories. It was modern, funky, and totally upbeat, yet completely appropriate for the French Vogue A-List Bash.
Okay. I loved your look, it was very modern, and funky (completely your style), but I wasn't sure how it would fit into a party for French Vogue. It was very lax, and it seems like something you would wear to school, or out shopping, but it was way too casual for a French Vogue party. Your model's dress on the other hand was very nice, and really elegant. Although I've noticed that you're not the "gown" maker, more a streetwear designer, so you probably would have been better off if you would have done the same dress with a shorter hem. So unless someone asks for it, don't be compelled to do a gown if you don't want to!
I was rather surprised with the look you created. The collar on the model's look (as well as yours) was very chic and unexpected. On your model's look though, the contrast with the white jacket and all of the embroidery, and the sheer top with the long black pants didn't really do it for me. :( It was (a bit odd coming from me!) a bit too much, and over the top even for Vogue. However, on your look, I ADORED the entire look, the pants, the jacket, and the fabulous sweater. If you would have made your women's look just as great as the mens, you would have probably won this challenge. ;D
you're the winner, you can leave the runway.
*Mad walks off the stage in fabulous green dress hugging Veronica*
Jen, you haven't won, but you haven't lost. You're still in, you can leave the runway.
*Jen runs off runway with Wilhelmina tripping and almost ripping the dress*
Jesse and Kaitlyn, you are the final two designers. One of you will be in, and one of you will be out.
Jesse, your look for your model, wasn't very cohesive, although, it was your point of view, and it just had a bit too much going on. Kaitlyn...your look was way too casual for the Vogue Party, and your model's look wasn't pulled off quite well. So who goes?
The designer who is so sophisticated, and has grown throughout the competition?
Or the designer who was in the top 3 many times, and has a impeccable sense of taste and style?
Congrats, you BOTH have also made it to Fashion Week. You better rock it out!!!!
